: Patient 14 - Feature film
Patient 14 is a medical, psychological thriller about a legal
secretary who loses her husband-to-be in a tragic shootout in
Washington D.C., through which she also loses her hearing. Soon
homeless, she's rescued by a shelter worker, who helps her get
a hearing aide, which leads to her being accepted into a clinical
trial aimed at restoring hearing loss. But the experimental drug
mutates and gives her, the sole survivor of the trial, super-normal
hearing abilities - particularly, the ability to hear the
frequency emitted by the brain when it thinks. Within no time,
she's tapped to be an undercover "mind reader" for a
branch of the National Security Administration, a development
which exposes her to even greater perils. Through it all, she's
led to wonder: Though she can get into other people's heads, how
much does she want to know?
