LOW LEVEL PANIC - Arizona State University, 1994
Set and Costume Designs by Joanne Le Cocq
This is one of my favorite designs. The story
takes place in the bathroom of three female college roommates,
one of which has been raped. It examines women's body image, especially
for the rape victim, as she tries to cope with what has happened
to her. I had a $50 budget for set design which was enough for
paint and a few props. I used stage tape to make the "web/bathroom
tiles." The initial concept shows the audience seated as
if they are part of the web.
